Please find below details of how our Governing body is structured, including the names, categories, responsibilities and terms of appointment for each Governor.

Constitution of the Governing Board


Our Governing Board consists of:

  • Three Parent Governors
  • One Local Authority Governor
  • One Staff Governor
  • One Headteacher
  • Four Co-opted Governors


Total number of members of the Governing Board is 10


Term of Office

The term of office for each governor is 4 years

The Term of Office for Chair and Vice-Chair of Governors is 2 years.


How the Governing Board operates

The Governing Board holds meetings on an approximately monthly basis during term time.

Areas covered at each meeting may vary in line with the Governing Board's Strategic Plan.

The Headteacher provides a termly written report and a verbal update at other meetings.


Governors are linked to cover various subjects such as:

  • Safeguarding, CLA (Children Looked After)
  • Health and Safety
  • Teaching, learning and curriculum linked with Early Years and KS1
  • Pupil premium and SEN
  • Sport premium.


Governor’s responsibilities are also allocated to various committees that may meet outside of the regular full Governor’s meetings. These committees report back to the full governor’s meetings. Some committees have delegated decision making authorities.
