Child Protection

The school works in partnership with parents to support children as best we can given the resources available. However, there is a legal responsibility on schools to ensure that they work together with other agencies to safeguard and promote the welfare of all children.

As a result, we try to have a community that looks to protect and care for each child. We try to be aware when children are unhappy and, when this occurs, take the appropriate actions. This is part of a responsibility that teachers and parents share together. Chaulden School works closely with other professionals such as

the school doctor and nurse, education welfare officer, educational psychologists, speech and language therapists and the community police officer to ensure the well-being of all our children.

All staff and volunteers working within our school are DBS checked and cannot work without clearance.
